Right now, the format of choice is ePub with Adobe Adept DRM. That is what is mostly used. It's a world wide format. Even libraries use it. The only real issue is that of georestriction. I know companies are playing stupid games in order to screw with customers. The agency model isn't working. All it's doing is causing higher prices and angry customers.

If we didn't have Apple, we would not have the Agency 5 that screws with customers. But also what we need to get rid of is DRM. DRM is what's causing B&N's ePub not to work with a Sony Reader.
