I have been using the xtra flex 2 LED light in lower setting (with one LED on). Since the neck is very flexible, you can always adjust it to an angle to eliminate the bright spot. I use three rechargable AAA batteries which can last a week or more (20 hours).

The mighty bright Duet LED light may work better for some people, but I don't like the look of two heads.
