last time I did a fasting test, they took 8 vials of blood which is actually a vile or two over a blood donation. I was sent home to take a nap (good thing I didn't live any further than I did) and had to come back in and have 2 more taken. the needles don't bother me though. I had my 4 litre donation card in Germany and have had a few gallon cards here
