I don't want either; I want 16:10, and with the onslaught of 16:9 "for proper high-def viewing" they're getting harder to find, at least at a decent price.

The sizes of the threads used for the ball-ends are pretty standardized; you can generally get replacements without too much work. I see more tragus hoops than barbells; if I was to get one that's what it would be if only for a fear of having one of the balls go into my ear canal. Also that's more of a feminine thing; I have both my ears, my nose, and eyebrow and can't really see doing anything else; then again I started in 1985 so some of my piercings are actually older than some people who do it for a living.
