We just got in from trekking down our long driveway through countless drifts, more like waves of snow, to retrieve the mail! I wish I would've brought my camera with me. The wind is really whipping and we've got nothing around us to block it! They're tossing around the term "thundersnow". Never heard that one before!

My husband went into work today... all the way to the Quad Cities. Whether he tries to come home tonight or not is the real question! He is prepared to stay there if it isn't safe to make the trip home. I just hope we don't lose power. Though we have plenty of firewood, so that's good.
