I hoped for the same thing with the K1 and Amazon did not touch the K1 firmware after the K2 was out. The one change that they made was to add synching across devices.

If I have read other peoples posts correctly, part of that is because of the differences in memory and capacity between the different itterations. The K3 has a great deal more capacity then the K2 because it has more memory and room on the device to be able to do more.

So the K1 could not handle collections because its infrastructure was not built to handle the requirements for collections. The PDF capabilities on the K3 are too much for the K2 to handle. Rumor has it that the new PDF capabilities are too much for the DXG to handle. I have a tough time believing that since the DX and DXG can hold the same number of books as the K3 but more then the K2 which tells me that the DX line has a larger memory but that is another story.

My point, I would not expect too much from the NC1 from here on out.
