I used to hang out in a large privately-owned bookstore and the clerks would bring customers over to chat with me. One of my favorites were a couple who wanted an unabridged dictionary. Someone had told them they were all the same and I launched into a discussion about the differences. Then the wife interrupted me and said, "We're getting a new house with a library and it has a built in little stand for a dictionary so we want a pretty one."
"Ah! In that case, yes, they're all pretty much the same."
