If it's not cake from a mix, and ultra sweet, they don't want to bake it. Besides, the only ovens the Japanese use are part of their microwaves, usually not even large enough for a 9" pie plate. Brownies and pound cake, or nothing. I don't know one who would even think to try making bread. We have the largest microwave we could get, and it just takes a 9" plate. To make anything larger, such as a loaf of bread, I have to use my forced hot air oven, and even then, 11" is a big as I can go.
