There are a lot of bakeries these days, but they don't make many breads. Mostly sweet rolls, sweet croissants, sweet breads, and pizza. Sometimes even that is sweet. Oh... and white bread. I saw what I 'thought' was a peasant loaf... round, unsliced, top slashed and sprinkled with corn meal, but when I picked it up, my fingers sank in half way. Bummer.
