I spent considerable time trying to learn to knap flint. I figure the next Ice Age will be upon us shortly (rather than Global Warming!) and I want to be ready for those Woolly Mammoths! If I'm the only guy in my cave complex who can make flint spear heads and good arrowheads, I can corner the market! My wife thinks I'm nuts, but I say, 'Fortune favors the Prepared!'

Besides, with no more Bic lighters, the guy with the flint is the guy with the fire...
