Sony cases w/ light "No longer available"
Hello all,
Noobe here. I surprised my wife with a new Sony 650 for Christmas (she's been wanting an ereader since the first Kindle came out), and my folks bought one for me also.
So, here we are with our new Touch readers ...sans cases. It's amazing to us the lack of cases for the 650's given their apparent popularity. We've both been handling them like eggs until we can find a good case for them.
I know there's another thread here about 650 cases, and it is a little helpful. Personally, I really want a case with a light as I have taken to using the 650 on my bus ride home from work. I really like the lighted cases that Sony had, but am wondering why they are "No longer available" from Sony. I assume that means Sony has discontinued making them, but I have yet to see confirmation of that nor a reasonable explanation of why they would do that for such a popular model ereader.
I know this is not Sony's own forum, however does anyone here have any information why the PRSA-CL65's are NLA?
Thanks in advance,
Tim
P.S. What she and I are in agreement about for case requirements are a stiff but soft-lined case (so as to protect the the screen from damage), one that either opens like a book or flips up like a steno pad, one that securely holds the reader without using any adhesive (e.g. for velcro), and lastly, one that is budget friendly. As stated above, add a light (LED) for me.
