I don't know the answer to your question. And I fully support your right to be paid for your work. If I like your work and want to read your book, I will buy it but I fully expect to read it on the device of my choice. The two issues should not be mutually exclusive.

I don't wish to turn this thread into another thread about DRM/pirating, etc., but I truly don't understand how DRM benefits either the author or the consumer. I only see a possible benefit to the publisher/etailer, and that seems pretty short-sighted to me.

But my perspective comes strictly as a consumer.
