In this case it's even not women-specific its just that I don't care about these maximal occurences of shallowness in other men as muchas at women

actually 't have been 2 ideas both covered by her description
1.) that there is an awful lot of things that don't really matter, but most people think they do.
2.) if the "one with you" is somebody you can count on (and vice versa) in such minimalistic surroundings (as she described), than you both are endlessly strenghtening each other. regardless how f up things may come, you both 'll make it and be stronger than before.
Pity is, some people only get this in their heads after they successfully ducked when faced with the boney ones scythe.
