So far as prose fiction is concerned, if I find the book at all enjoyable, I read it straight through. I'm not a particularly fast reader, so I try to concentrate on one major work at a time, though I might branch out to a short story from a novel for change of pace. Sometimes, though, I can't resist reading something else in tandem. Thus, recently, I was reading Uller Uprising on my Kindle and Witch World in hard copy. It's hard to resist doing that.

Poetry, which I read frequently, is another situation altogether. I will dip into poetry at any time whenever the spirit strikes.
