I haven't obtained a skin yet. For now, I just trimmed the end off the adhesive clear plastic sheet that came on the Kindle (front and back) when it was shipped, and have been using that clear strip as a makeshift "skin" over the keyboard. It's not ideal because the plastic does tend to smudge easily, but it's not a bad working solution.

Part of the difficulty is not knowing whether the letters ARE likely to rub off the keys. My Kindle 3 is a Wi-Fi model, graphite colour (no other one exists for the Wi-Fi!), and was shipped in mid-Jan 2011. It has matte, slightly textured keys. I don't use them a huge amount, and I do know QWERTY, but I can't say I've memorised the Del, Sym, and other special keys 100%... so the prospect of their wearing off does worry me.
