oh my gosh! how terribly frustrating! sending the audible files to your kindle should not have been a problem at all! anecdotally we have never heard of anyone having a problem having cracked open their kindle and then returning it. please call kindle tech support and let them know about this. they have been so incredibly supportive of users that have really abused their kindles!
