I'm very much the same. I will read fiction very quickly - estimate about 100 pages/hour, so a few hours of reading time will get me pretty far through a book. Non-fiction takes longer, because I pause to think about the material more, and re-read sections regularly. I also rarely read non-fic in a single sitting, or uninterrupted by reading other books.

I don't force myself to finish books any more - there are too many good books out there to waste time on the bad ones. Usually it's bad writing that sees me put the book down quickly - an uninteresting (to me) plot I will give more time.

I usually have a few books on the go at any time, at least one serious (fic or non-fic) and one or two light in different genres.
