Congratulations on your new reader, great choice! I have the Sony PRS-505 (I'm starting to feel like a dinosaur), and I have never used the audio options, and have very rarely used the SD card slots (my reader only has about 250 MB of space). I don't think that you will miss those functions on your PRS-350.
