Really? You dont want to read when the lights are out? It seems every single night when I shut the lights out I get the urge to read a book but its too dark. And since theres only one light here that happens to be relatively bright its either all the light or no light at all. I figure a Kindle light should remedy that problem but Im also aware that often things dont work out the way I had hoped. It wouldnt surprise me if I end up with a glare issue or buying the wrong cover and the light wont work right, for instance. I remember I never used my light for my regular books too, it might be a case like that. Guess Id rather have it lying around just in case. And Im hoping this map case that I mentioned has some space to put it in but Im sure it doesnt.
when the power is NOT out, I have a small subdued bedside lamp. when it IS out, I have a mighty bright light, or a very small flashlight that I rest on my shoulder and it aims in the perfect position

and I could get squashed like a bug going into the supermarket. I've had Kindles for over 3 years now, traveled extensively, camped, skied and gone shooting with my Kindle, sleep with it EVERY night, even in a tent. I have a 185 pound dog, 2 EXTREMELY active and curious Savannah cats that think they need to mess with everything I mess with, have had knee surgery and had to hobble around very carefully, and amazingly enough I still have not one, but two in tact Kindles along with two others that I have used and given away.

caution may dictate wearing a belt AND suspenders, but feels good may dictate nothing a'tall.

as I said above, I've gone the silicone route, and it wasn't for me. good looking accessory though!
