This, and the poor pdf viewer are the two main gripes for me. It's obvious they wanted to limit the device to epubs and magazines purchased from B&N, but given that you can read epubs on the original Nook, I don't really see the purpose of the NC. Did they really spend millions developing this thing just to sell magazine subscriptions?
