Copyright infringement is a misdemeanor civil offense. Civil offenses are punishable by fines or possible jail time in a county jail. Crimes that are felony's are crimes against the state & punishable by imprisonment in a state or federal prison.

I consider myself fairly computer literate, however, I don't have the slightest clue on how to pirate a book. But I'm getting closer to deciding to search the web for copies of my drm books that are drm free.
