I've used all 3 (bought EasyTether) and in my experience TforA is the fastest and most reliable (and natch the most expensive). I had the paid version of Tether on my Blackberry and it was indeed quite fast and stable. The free versions only allow regular web connections i.e. no HTTPS; the paid versions remove that limitation.

Thanks! No, my phone isn't rooted. I've got an LG Ally, which isn't particularly powerful, BUT... we finally got the 2.2 upgrade. It is so much better -- battery life is better, phone is more responsive, I can move apps to the SD card. I don't mind paying a one-time fee for a tethering app, so I just wanted to see if you had tried any of them. There's only one place I go that I need it, but I'm there every month or two for a couple of days and I sure would like to be able to do it.
