Took my lady out for pizza and a movie tonight. While we were at the restaurant, the young waitress -- somewhere around 18 or 19 years old -- drops a full cup on our table. Kind of hits the side of the table and then falls to the floor, completely drenching my left pant leg, and shoe, and leaving a huge puddle on the table.
Accidents happen, I wasn't mad about the fact she dropped the cup ... I was kind of stunned that she never apologized. She quickly bent to the floor and scooped the ice onto the tray and that was the last we saw her until she brought out our food. Never blinked an eye or so much as mentioned it happening.
Me and my lady just kind of sat there there in awe for a few minutes, thinking she was coming back with a washcloth or something, and then we took our only 2 napkins and tried to soak up the puddle on the table.
This wasn't a cheap place either, a so-called "gourmet" pizza restaurant, the bill was just shy of 70 bucks just for the two of us. Nothing like paying good money to get your clothing ruined  |
