The problem with this particular app practice is that people were ripping Apple off by essentially charging for an app outside the app store, thus denying Apple the commission it charges for the sale of apps. So, yeah, I think Apple will stop here.

I haven't heard as much about Apple's review process as I did a year ago, so they may have improved things. I'm not really a fan of their approach, but they do seem to be very successful with it.
