I dunno, Grace, we just had a similar thing run through my entire family, and I was the ONLY one who didn't eventually have to get antibiotics to clear it up, because it did turn into bronchitis for everybody else. And yes, here too, they were all given z-pack. (Different family members,different times, different doctors, so it must be the drug of choice for this.) I would say don't wait too long, if your cough is that bad. You don't want to get pneumonia.
