I didn't recommend that people not root their NC because rooting itself is hard, but rather because the device is hard to use once rooted. For example, most of the apps come with no instructions, and weren't really written with tablets like the NC in mind anyway. There's also no real information on file management, which is obviously a major issue on an ereader.
