Krittika -- Here's how you can tell if a Kindle book is DRM-free: It will have the following line in the Product Description:

Simultaneous Device Usage: Unlimited

The term "DRM" is not used, and if the book has DRM, that line won't be in the description. (In other words, they'll tell you obliquely if the book is DRM-free, but simply don't mention it if there's DRM.)

I can't find anything in the Nookbook listings that will tell you if a book has DRM or not. Maybe someone else knows?
