The First Completely Electronic Robot and Science Fiction Limerick Book
is mere hours away from entering its fifth, yes
fifth week free on Amazon UK. If that's not shameless, I don't know what is. Sorry, though, it's not free at Amazon US. However, it is always free wherever you are at
smashwords.com.
I also have a new SF short story free at smashwords:
Phades ~ Lost Souls: a story about what happens to the people who are dragged into the vortex surrounding a quantum rift and the 'phantoms' that escape from it. This is a free short (1600 word) version of a longer short story (10,000 word) soon to be released.
One of the few short stories only a couple of hundred words longer than a limerick is
Ms Fixit, also still free at smashwords. That's the one about the mischievous repair lady.
OK, that's the shameless bit over, now I have something special to share about one of my novels. A contented reader PM'd me this morning about my first novel 'Passengers to Sentience', saying:
"I finished Passengers to Sentience last night and very much enjoyed it. I liked the way you had developed and explored the science around cloning and found the book psychologically convincing. Although there was a lot of science in your science-fiction, even as an arts graduate I found it engaging and never too esoteric and the strong storyline kept me interested all the way through. I think one of your reviewers called it an intelligent read, and this is a quality I look for and do not always find in books."
Sigh! Aren't readers who say things like this just the best!
