I'm a Traditional Chinese user and using an European version of iLiad. As I can embed fonts in a PDF document to read Chinese, I think it doesn't matter to possess an European version. What's more, after converting my documents / ebooks to PDF, I can scribble on them on the iLiad.
And the most important point is that it is much cheaper to buy from Europe, and I can request for the developer's package in order to install other third party softwares.
