And I'll bet all you have to do to collect is to provide your full name, date of birth, and whatever the Australian equivalent of our Social Security number is!
I found a really interesting phishing e-mail in one of my accounts today. It claimed to be from a Federal Bureau of Investigation agent and looked very official. It claimed that a bank that was holding some inheritance money for me had been contacted by a stranger claiming to be acting of my behalf and that the bank got suspicious and called the FBI, and to contact them if I wanted to make sure the money got to me. Of course, I would have to prove my identity by providing them with my full name, age, etc., etc.
But then again, who knows? So just to be sure, I forwarded it to the
real FBI.
