Well thanks for all the replies. I phoned Indigo tonight and the Kobo Specialist in the store said he hadn't heard of any similar complaints and suggested I bring it in for an exchange.

It was happening about half the time I turned mine off, so hopefully it doesn't start getting more frequent with yours.
