I just flashed it "as is"
The default language seems to be dutch, but that's easy enough to change.
as described in a previous page, the way to get to rescue mode is to put the firmware in the Firmware_Update folder on an SD card. Then hold the volume up button while you power on until the rescue screen comes up.
It'll take a while for the thing to start up the first time after you update the firmware.
if i were you i would go and download the korean firmware so you have a backup.
I'm loving fox firmware as it goes. big up there like. the internet works fine, i can check my college email easily enough. i doubt the battery will work very long while on the internet, but it's still handy. I haven't tried downloading or uploading anything yet, i'll get onto that in a moment.
one thing that's a bit annoying is the keyboard in the browser is an AZERTY setup, it's a little confusing. I'm told that AZERTY is the standard french keyboard setup, so that's understandable. I don't have the coding knowledge or the time to change that myself, but it doesn't bother me that much
Like has been pointed out by some before, a lot of the web is pretty difficult to use like this. Also, it tends to scroll down automatically until you stop it by pulling the scroll bar back up to the top.
I may attempt to get some sort of web-based feed reader going on it that's compatible with the screen size, as i doubt google reader's going to agree with the E60 as it's only just usable on my notebook. This may be something of an academic question however as I can use calibre to convert text-based feeds like the daily newspaper and such into Epub format complete with indexing, and it can also fetch your google reader list as well, if you use that. The only thing i don't find it handy for is design or music blogs which are often very graphics intensive and often incorporate video and such.
anyway, yeah. gonna go play with it a bit more, try installing some of the custom themes
oh, here's a thing. I went to the Dictionary and it crashed the thing. The only way to get back was to flash it back to Korean and then back to Fox.
