From Vancouver Island (Island - NOT Vancouver). I am close to best before date and new to portable electronic gadgets. No smart phone (a cellular phone that lives in the car in case of emergencies) but do have a working Sony reader. Got a Galaxy tablet and returned it - couldn't seem to get it to work properly and no support except an 800 number. Now I have a Pocketbook 701. Interested in genealogy but don't expect an e-reader will help much for that - it will be for the many books no longer available in public libraries as they keep up with new publications. The library is usable but annoying. The PB would also be for browsing and email and stuff - if I could get it work properly! Am on a thread and someone with lots of karma is trying to help me. If I had found forums (fora?) like these I might still have the Galaxy tablet!
