True! I think I am where you are. I have been having fun, not only setting things up, but learning about others reading habits and preferences. I've cut my goal in 1/2 ( 25 to 50 instead of 50 to 100).

I've challenged myself to read some genres that are out of my comfort zone this year. I chosen two based on conversations of our group.

Again we are in agreement!

The seperate threads is a great idea. I'm also looking forward to reading genres that are new to me, namely Romances and Mystery, as I've stayed mainly in the Sci-Fi and/or Fantasy camps.

It was the only think I could think of to reduce the indecision I face upon finishing a book. Once it gets down to 9 or 10, I'll go back to the to-read shelf and add a few more to the shortlist.
I'm dealing with the same amount of books, but this makes it more manageable.

I like this idea, but I think I would still be stuck with indecision as to what to put on the short list, so I tend to just wade through my options and see what sticks.
I'm hoping that joining both the 2011 challenge and the MR Book Club will help me as far as selections.
