Hi, welcome to MR from the Netherlands. I have both iPad and two Kindles. The iPad is wonderful, but a bit heavy to read on and some people don't like the backlight. The Kindle has an unlightened pearlscreen that most people find easier on the eyes. Happy ereading, which ever you choose.
