Great as an academic exercise. Many areas of digital art have introduced some sort of AI component - particularly in music.
I'll take inspiration where I can get it because let's face it, nothing is really coming fully from us. We just synthesise experiences of the external into coherence. No reason why a computer program can't be part of that process.
