I understand your frustration though. Its difficult when you are sitting there with money in hand and they don't want to sell to you.
I just use my Borderlinx address and that works fine. I'd use it to buy stuff too, so why not do the same thing to buy my books? This is what Borderlinx or USUnlocked are for: to enable you to buy from US only sites.
