You can download library books via Adobe Digital Editions instead of Sony Reader if you prefer. Most purchased music is DRM protected (I think) - I've never bought music.

The way to load music from different artists/albums is to create a folder for the tracks, say "Sony Music", then drop in your tracks, then batch change the Album name to whatever you'd like (say "The Sixties"), and the artist to "Various"; the individual tracks should be edited to artist - title ("Beatles - Hey Jude" for example), and you're set.

It is possible to add individual songs, but that'd really clutter up your audio database fast.
