You have a few options for removing pictures.

You can connect your phone to your computer via the usb cable. When you do this a notification will popup in the top bar of the screen asking you to mount the phone as a drive. After that your computer will show the Incredible as an external drive.

The other method is to remove the micro SD card. Before removing it go to Menu > Settings > SD & Phone Storage > Unmount SD card. After selecting this it will tell you that it is now ok to remove the SD card.
