Not sure how many people consider lyrics of songs as related to poetry ... but thought I would draw attention to the lyrics of some songs by Muse, see "Supermassive Black Hole") as one example, and also the Death Cab for Cutie song "A Lack of Color".

ETA: Not trying to be a Smart-A, but found these songs curious when I first heard them and the quote made me think of them.
