I still respectfully disagree with the comparison for two reasons:

1. Price
2. The Nook Color is locked down as an ereader which slows it down considerably and strips away functions. For example, using Zeam launcher, Set CPU, Dolphin Browser HD, Aldiko (for Landscape epub viewing), etc. changes things considerably.

Don't you agree that out of fairness, if you are going to compare them as full tablets, you should at least compare a rooted nook color to the Galaxy Tab? And also, when you pay twice as much as something isn't it expected to be a better product?

All I'm looking for is making a comparison based on price/value and also the full capabilities of each.

I wouldn't sell the nook color's harware too short, though I'm sure you are in the spirit of not getting into a whole crazy debate with JoeCampo but:

1024 X 600 LG IPS Panal
captactive screen
TI OMAP ARM Cortex-A8 processor running at 800 MHz

gorgous styling and great rubberized back.

That's actually fairly high end hardware.

and the screen's color, detail and contrast and pixel density can be in anyone''s leauge including the iPad, some say the nook colors screen is even better.

If the Samsung Galaxy S's hardware is a Lexus I would say the nook color's hardware is at least an Acura.

by the way this goes to Joe as well both are great great devices, I just don't think they are in competition with each other.

if someone wants a high end full color ereader that can do more than what eink can, then the nook color is your top choice.
somebody who wants a full blown Android Table with one of the best processor's in the hummingbird processor, then the Samsung Galaxy is great and currently is your top choice.

To me it's android rocking the house on two fronts.
