I have a gorgeous cherry wood library in my home. I keep a few thousand books of my favorite authors Wilbur Smith, James Patterson, Jeffrey Archer etc. Many of these books I bought second hand but I did purchase all of them. My mother and husband live with me and I actually allow them to read the books in my library!

Between us we now own 2 Nooks, a Sony-300 and two devices that don't work anymore my iRex and Sony 505. I continue to purchase books but they are now all eBooks. Without removing the DRM I could no longer share my books in my own home. I know that technically this is wrong but I really don't care. My Calibre library is simply my modern version of my physical cherry wood library. The chances of two of us reading the same book at the same point in time is slim so I can easily justify removing the DRM. I just wish that I didn't have to do something that actually makes me feel bad - but not bad enough to stop.
