Made it over to the Best Buy over the noon hour and they did actually have the nook color powered up. The Nook eink, Kindle, and Sony display models would not power up. Once I set the NC to larger font size and double space it did hold that selection no matter what book I went to. Of course the problem still is I didn't see anyway of changing the font size when viewing the library, from which to make a selection.

I'll take a short drive over to Borders and give the Kobo a look this weekend.
