I've already had a brick 701IQ without doing anything other than adding apps from my sd card, using the app manager. I am supposed to get my 701 back today from PB service center. The contact said that the firmware had been corrupted and caused a brick condition(not quoting). If just using and adding a few apps can corrupt the firmware without 'rooting' etc., why would I want to go where I could screw it up again.
I think all of you good folks are doing a great job of showing us noobies about Android and PB's, but some of us are really afraid of having to return their PB's to the service center again.
