i see what you mean about the router. i would have to do that for my verizon mifi (if i decided to connect to it), but to me since it is a one time thing no big wup.

i concur about the reading experience. to me, 3g, wifi, mp3, typing, games, and making toast are all secondary and relatively minor considerations.
