Hey there everyone!
I like reading and I am currently starting on a self-initiated project to write tutorials on, help local publishers/authors convert their magazines/books to electronic formats, to promote e-books and build up local support in this arena.
I am new to the e-book technology, development & reading tools so I am still reading up on the various e-book devices available, their formats, formatting & conversion tools, the open source standard and how it can help our local webosphere community.
Personally, so far, I support the DRM-free e-books. Our
national library allows library members to loan DRM-free e-books in Adobe Digital Editions. In fact, I am encouraged to see
WROX starting to sell DRM-free books.
Our university also have a volunteer team helping our
Visually Handicapped to listen books in
DAISY format.
I will come here from time to time to ask for your help, and I will appreciate any help you people can offer.
Thank you very much!
And thank you to
Mobileread wiki for many insightful information
