No, not really. I drink Pu-Erh twice or sometimes only once a day. Usually after lunch and always after dinner.
When I visited Tea House Emporium's tearoom in Bath, they had far too many teas on the list and I knew I had only one or two opportunities before I go home. Looked through the list and pointed my finger at Pu-Erh. Said to my wife: Let's try it. I know about black, green, blue and white teas but recently NBTea got a new section of Pu-Erh. I have never heard of it and have no blooming idea what it is. It is the best opportunity to try something new when it is done professionally. So we tried. The first sip was odd. I cannot say I disliked it but it was very unusual. Looks like black tea but the smell? (a friend told me it smells of fish to her ) and flavour was like nothing I have tried. Maybe even a bit unpleasant? repulsing? But we had a whole pot to experiment and were not in hurry to leave, so we took our time. By the end of the third cup (this was a real cup, 150ml, not a mug ) I thought I like it. I like its weirdness. We bought 100gr pack the next day.

For the first two-three days it tasted very odd. I was not entirely sure whether I love it but it just so happened that I drunk it after meals, sometimes good meals and when drunk Pu-Erh I experienced a new feeling. Even if I had a heavy meal and my stomach was heavy and...I felt heavy..drinking Pu-Erh made me feel better. Right on the spot. As if it dissolved fat and other things and made me feel lighter and better. The heaviness in the stomach would disappear.
Time for RTFM!
Googled and found out that it is considered to be one of the best teas for digestive system. Rare tea with some organisms in it, akin to kefir but different of course.
My point is? I read about its positive effects on the stomach after I felt them myself without prior knowledge thus I have not been influenced by theory.
Since then it is my favourite after dinner tea and sometimes after lunch
My wife loves it for the same things, so both of us want to explore it. Pu-Erh usually comes in bricks or cakes. We have drunk only loose tea so far.
It is a rare thing when I enjoy a drink/food and it is healthy too
