Cool, thanks for the replies everyone. I got the Nook, it was too good of a deal I thought for it being brand new and coming with case and SD card for only $100. Played with it this morning, and ended up spending almost two hours reading on it. I really did forget I was reading on a screen and not in a book/newspaper. The e-ink really is awesome. So I think I'll probably do most of my book/newspaper/in-store reading on the Nook, and use the Nook Color for magazines and as an internet tablet. Now I'm getting pretty excited to root the Color when I have some spare time this weekend. I've spent a lot of time reading about it on NookDev's website, and feel comfortable in doing it.
One thing I'm not clear on is apparently the Nook classic can also be rooted? I'll have to read up on that sometime as I have no idea what that entails or what advantages/disadvantages it has, and if it is as simple and hassle free as rooting the Nook color? If it takes away from the in-store reading then I wouldn't consider it, that'll be my main purpose for it I think.
