Aha! Okay, now I understand, and won't try to bold the title any longer

I don't know about anybody else, but I'd probably be royally pissed if a firmware update, which has nothing to do with the SD cards, would wipe the cards clean and remove all my stuff for no good reason.
Ahem, well, if you're going to make sense.... I think I'm too used to my old pocket pc, where, when you did a hard reset, everything was wiped clean (except your own sd card). I was thinking that the reinstall and factory reset would place the non-english books and etc back into the folders since I had removed those...

The firmware resides in flash, and has nothing to do with your SD cards.
So yes, the firmware was indeed installed correctly.
Cool! I bow to your much superior knowledge of Android And, thanks for the explanation, I really do appreciate it.

Your definition of "firmware" is off, that's all
Yeah, I'm getting that impression....

These programs are probably only looking at certain directories (like Books or eBooks) for books. That could be configurable tho.

I made a copy of the content of the internal card right after I purchased the unit. I can upload it for you if you want.
I did get AEPReader to find books on the internal card last night at work, so I'm ok there for now. Since the firmware is fine, I think I'm going to reinstall the repack, (I really did prefer it), and see if AEPreader will still read off the internal card. If it will, I'm not going to worry about it. If not... I'll be posting again

Thank you for the offer, but after your information and help, I'm good for now. I'm gonna play a little bit more with it, get some sleep, and see how it goes tonight.
