If price is a big obstacle for you (it looks it is) your better and only alternative right now on the market for a capacitive tablet running Android is the Nook Color. Out of the box (no rooting) will not provide Android Market access and the browser won't be as good as the Galaxy Tab, but I believe taking the hacking step is totally yours.

I understand what you are saying, and I agree that the Tab is a better unit (for what it is). It is a tablet and the NOOKcolor is a reader. I really only wanted to know if I went to - say - the Toronto International Centre, and used their wifi, could I access full websites to process credit card payments. I probably can on both devices, and really if I had to I could bring my laptop for that.
I was really trying to see if I would get more use out of one over the other. I think that I would probably like the NC, because I really want it for night reading and I could sync it to my classic Nook. I don't like that I have to use different apps for the Tab. So I think the NC is what I want. If I was looking for a full tablet, then the NC would be out and the Tab would be in.
Thanks so much for all the help everybody! I will let you know if or when I get one.
